Yasmine Rouai, Executive Assistant | | | | Russ Day, President | Russ Day is the President of Solon Legal Group LLC. He has broad experience on both sides of the temporary legal industry. For seven years, Russ was a temp attorney, working at several firms and corporations throughout Washington, D.C., and its environs on many diverse matters, from managing document productions for antitrust compliance to writing federal circuit court appellate briefs. Russ has extensive management experience, having overseen hundreds of attorneys and paralegals in several litigation matters.
Until recently, Russ was the Director of Project Management for another legal staffing agency. In that role, Russ recruited hundreds of temporary attorneys, placing many in positions at firms in the District. He was also active on the marketing side of the business, bringing in and developing new clients for the company.
Russ is a 1991 graduate of Williams College, with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He received his J.D. in 1997 from Notre Dame Law School. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar. | | | | Arnold Intrater, Vice President for Marketing | Arnold Intrater is Vice President of Marketing and Recruitment for Solon Legal Group LLC. He has extensive experience in the hiring and employment of attorneys, having served as a high-level attorney/manager in the federal government for many years. His background includes service as the Assistant General Counsel for Administration at the Treasury Department; General Counsel of the Office of Administration, Executive Office of the President; Associate White House Counsel; Deputy General Counsel of the Peace Corps; and General Counsel of the Federal Housing Finance Board. Mr. Intrater has served as a consultant to the National Academy for Public Administration. He is a trained mediator and has served as a contract attorney on a major corporate merger. He comes to our firm after having served as the Director of Recruitment for another legal staffing agency.
Mr. Intrater’s personal experience in the general field of employment law, along with his practical experience in managing various law offices, helps Solon Legal Group select well-motivated attorneys for meaningful temporary employment opportunities with our client firms.
Mr. Intrater is a graduate of Columbia College (1961) and Columbia Law School (1964). He is a member of the New York State Bar. | | | | Kevin D. Rooney, General Counsel | Kevin D. Rooney is the General Counsel of Solon Legal Group LLC. Having served at high levels in the Justice Department, Kevin brings years of experience in the hiring and management of attorneys. Having maintained a successful law practice in Washington, D.C., Kevin understands the demands of this highly competitive market.
Kevin served as the Director of the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) from January 1999 to March 2007. During this period, he served as Acting Commissioner of the former Immigration and Naturalization Service from March to August 2001. EOIR oversees the immigration court system, including the Board of Immigration Appeals and 53 immigration courts nationwide. Kevin previously served as Deputy Director of EOIR from 1995-1997.
As the Assistant Attorney General for Administration from 1977-1984, Kevin served as the Department of Justice’s senior career official and chief management and financial officer under three Attorneys General during the Carter and Reagan Administrations. He was Assistant Director of the Bureau of Prisons from 1997-1999, and practiced law in Washington, DC, from 1984-1995.
Kevin is a native of Palmer, Massachusetts, and a graduate of St. Mary’s Seminary and University and George Washington University School of Law. Kevin is a U.S. Army veteran. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar. | | | | Janelle Clark, Director of Client Relations | Janelle Clark is the Director of Client Relations of Solon Legal Group LLC. Coming from a sales background in which she had clients including ambassadors and representatives of foreign governments, presidents and CEOs of multi-billion-dollar corporations, media and television personalities, top politicians and lobbyists, and -- most important -- DC-area law firms, she understands what it takes to manage high-profile clients.
Janelle worked as Director of Sales and Marketing for an executive office suite company in Washington, D.C., in which capacity she managed over 125 accounts.
Janelle is a Northern Virginia native and a 2006 graduate of George Mason University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. | | | | Kait McMurdo, Executive Assistant | Kait McMurdo is an Executive Assistant at Solon Legal Group LLC. Kait graduated from American University in 2008 with a degree in business administration, specializing in international marketing with a minor in French. In her time at AU, she has served as a supplemental instructor in financial and managerial accounting and as the social chair of the school's American Marketing Association chapter. Kait is also a founding student member of the Office of Business Communications, where she advises students on best practices for business writing and public speaking. She also has internship experience in sports broadcasting and strategic-communications/public-relations consulting for video game companies. | | | | Yasmine Rouai, Executive Assistant | Yasmine Rouai is an Executive Assistant at Solon Legal Group LLC. Yasmine comes to Solon with a background in real estate. She has numerous years of experience in customer relations, having worked in diverse office environments.
Yasmine graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor's in International Affairs. She recently completed a Master's Degree at George Mason University in International Commerce and Policy. | | | |
